It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan C. Kennedy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed this life on December 7, 2024. Alan was a devoted husband to Patti Kennedy, cherishing a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. Together they raised a wonderful family, including Heather Hart, preceded in death by her husband Steve; Dawn Kennedy and her husband Levin Schwartz; and James Kennedy and his wife Cassie. Holding a special place in his heart are his grandchildren Drew, Matthew, Kevin, Colleen, Chelah, Kai, Forrest, and Ivy. Alan is also survived by his beloved sister Carole Lengyel and her husband Ed; his niece Katy Terry and her husband Jason; and his nephew Craig Lengyel and his wife Megan.

Joyce Mae Pine Seifert – Obituary
Joyce Mae Pine Seifert left us peacefully on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Joyce was born in Cambridge, New York on May 12, 1941, to parents Lester and Ruby (Hunt) Pine. Her family ran a chicken farm and one of her many chores was to collect a basket of eggs before school.
She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in 1958, where she was a cheerleader and caught the eye of a very handsome basketball player, Ron Seifert. Ron and Joyce went on to marry on Thanksgiving Day, 1959 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage together until his passing in August of 2023. Joyce was a natural when it came to numbers. She started her bookkeeping career at Wood Flong before she began working at Bakers Nurseries, where she worked for many years. Joyce worked alongside her husband at their antique auction business where she did everything from polishing silver, washing dishes, ironing linen, along with keeping up the books. She was a member of the West Hoosick Baptist Church. Joyce enjoyed being a part of the Walter A. Wood Alumni Association and helped keep track of former classmates and other alumni.
