Nathaniel D. Moss – Obituary

Stephentown – Nathaniel D. Moss, 24, of Newton Road passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 at the Berkshire Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 14th on Lebanon Mountain. Born on April 17th, 2000 in Pittsfield, Nate was the son of Amy Moss Goodermote and for the past 18 years the “son” of Steve Goodermote of Stephentown. Nate was a lifelong resident of the Valley and was educated in the Stephentown and Berlin Schools. Nate worked side by side with Steve in the Steve Goodermote Contracting Company with the plan to take over the business in the future. James (Jim) Andrick, 76, passed away July 6th, 2024 at his residence in Hoosick Falls. He was predeceased by his parents William and Grace (Wagner) Andrick and his nephew Jared. Robert S. Lewis – Obituary

Berlin – Robert Samuel Lewis, 59, died suddenly on Sunday, June 30th. He graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in 1982 and SUNY Delhi in 1984, with a degree in landscape design. In August 1985, he married the love of his life and best friend, Maria Cross, his wife of 38 years. They enjoyed living with adventure, friendship, and acceptance at the center of their home.

Suzanne A. Putnam – Obituary

Grafton – Suzanne Avis Putnam was born in Troy on February 17th, 1946 and passed June 30th, 2024. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary “Betty” Sciacco and her step father, Joseph Sciacco, Sr., her father, Charles Moore; her husband, Kent Putnam; and her sister, Nancy Moore. She is survived by her son, Seth Putnam; her brother, Joseph Sciacco Jr. and his wife Patricia; a nephew, Ryan Sciacco; niece, Nicole Sciacco; niece, Allison Kirchner and her husband, Matthew; and a great nephew, Scott Hallenbeck. Suzanne also valued her many close friends.

Suzanne enjoyed helping others, music, painting, landscaping, decorating for various holidays, baking, crafts, and early American life. She was a dedicated Grafton Town Clerk and Town Secretary for over 30 years. [Read more…] about Suzanne A. Putnam – Obituary

Clara S. Gutermuth

Berlin – Clara Sheldon Gutermuth, 103, died Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at The Pines Rehab Center in Easton, MD after a brief illness. She was born on January 31, 1921, in West Rupert, VT, the loving daughter of the late Henry Ruel Sheldon and Helen Ayres Sheldon.

Clara grew up in Hoosick Falls, NY, at the Walter A. Wood estate. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School and later attended Mildred Elly Business School. In 1940 she married the love of her life, Allen F. Gutermuth. Mervin A. Wheatley – Obituary

Berlin – Mervin A. Wheatley, 87, known throughout his life as “Slim,” passed away at his home in Berlin on July 4th, 2024. He was born in Haverhill, NH, to Kenneth and Lillian Wheatley of Bradford, VT. The family moved from Bradford, finally settling in Dutchess County in New York where Slim finished his high school years. Along the way he became a musician and moved to Nashville, TN after high school, where he worked as a staff musician for WSM that owned the Grand Ole Opry. On his return home, Slim eventually gave up music for a few years, married, and started a family.

Slim came back to his musical roots in the 60’s and there he met Linda, who became his partner, and later his wife of over 53 years. They became quite popular in country music playing in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, performing at clubs, stage shows, radio and TV, and making annual trips to Nashville to record. JerryLind Brundige – Obituary

Petersburgh – JerryLind Brundige, 58, of Petersburgh passed peacefully from this life on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 surrounded by the people and the things that she loved most. JerryLind was born in Albany on January 28th, 1966 and resided in Petersburgh for her entire life. She was a 1984 graduate of Berlin High School and later attended cosmetology school in Troy.

Jo Ann Wilbur Coffinger – Obituary

Jo Ann (Jody) Wilbur Coffinger passed away after a long illness on June 5th, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her children. Born February 1st, 1940 and raised in Coalinga, California, Jody was the daughter of Annette and Frank McLellan. She married Thomas Allen Coffinger, Sr on August 10th, 1957. William E. Marcoux – Obituary

Hoosick Falls – William E. Marcoux “PA”, 76, passed away on Thursday May 23rd, at his residence on Snow Street in Hoosick Falls. He was the husband of the late Robin (Foster) Marcoux, “COO.”

William was born on July 16th, 1947, in Cambridge, NY, son of the late Henry and Agnes “Gee” (Greenwood) Marcoux. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. William was employed at the Watervliet Arsenal as a welding engineer in the Benet Lab Division. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
