Stephentown – Tobias J. “Toby” Cornell, 42, of Calvin Cole Road, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after being stricken ill on Thursday. Born in Pittsfield, Toby was a lifelong resident of Stephentown. He was a 1998 graduate of the Berlin High School. Toby started his working career at XCA Composite Mfg. in Stephentown and at the time of his passing had worked for 10 years at Evonik in Waterford where he was a Chemical Mixer. In his spare time Toby enjoyed Star Trek and anything related to space adventure, computer gaming, listening to music, nature and could be found at home cooking great food. Stephentown – Robert W. “Bob” Willis, 80, died early Monday morning, December 26, 2022 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Waterbury, CT on January 6, 1942, the son of the late Allerton and Alice White Willis.
Bob resided in Watertown, CT and Bantam, CT where he was raised and educated. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving aboard the U.S.S. Wasp in the Atlantic fleet from 1957 to 1965. [Read more…] about Robert W. Willis – Obituary

The October 17 meeting of the Stephentown Board focused on many community-driven activities.
After the public hearing on the solar moratorium, the Board paid the minutes and bills. The presenter mentioned during the transfer station report that the paint care program has been running smoothly. Four new paint can storage containers have been placed at the station; however, the goal will be to reduce down to two storage containers.
