The Petersburgh Fire Auxiliary is having a Charlie Dog Fund-raiser at the Petersburgh Fire Dept. on Friday, June 3, beginning at 4 pm and lasting until the dogs are gone. Dogs cost $.75 ea., ½ dozen for $ 4.75 and one dozen for $9. Don’t miss out! Order your dogs ahead of time by calling Janet at 658-3053.
We ask the Community to support us in our fund-raising efforts and allow us to cook dinner for them.

Goats At The Grafton Library
Many delighted children and families turned out for Grafton Community Library’s program “Baby Goats Visit the Library.” Participants learned about raising dairy goats, sampled Laine’s homemade goat cheese and also met two Nigerian Dwarf “kids” owned by AnnMarie Keenan of Grafton. You Don’t Shoot Turkeys In The Rain
The Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club had to cancel its May 15 Turkey Shoot due to rain…….so now it is rescheduled it for Sunday, June 5, at 12 noon at the Clubhouse on Scriven Road.
Remember, there are turkeys to win plus good food – homemade baked beans, hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade pies and brownies, just to name a few.

National Trails Day is the perfect opportunity to help clean up local parks. On Saturday, June 4, the Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park and Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center will be hosting the Eighteenth Annual National Trails Day – the nation’s annual celebration of trails. Both parks invite volunteers of all ages to help clean up and improve trails on Saturday morning and indulge in the trail activities they enjoy most in the afternoon.
