New Lebanon – Michael Christopher Fisher, 42, died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Berkshire Medical Center following an ATV accident. He was born in Albany, NY on March 24, 1975, the beloved son of Charles A. and Marilyn Gosnell Fisher of Stephentown. He was raised in East Nassau and was a 1993 graduate of New Lebanon High School. He later attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.
He was employed in the construction field with J.H. Maxymillan Construction in Pittsfield, MA, Condron Construction in Lanesborough, MA and currently was a foreman/supervisor with Bervy Excavation in Canaan, NY. Michael was an avid outdoorsmen, he loved to be in the woods. He enjoyed his jeeps, snowmobiling, building drag cars and driving them fast, hunting and his old F100 Ford truck “dukie.” He loved watching the sunrise, sunset and looking up at the stars. He loved being home spending time in his garage, laughing and telling stories with his family and friends. He was a man to love and who loved always, spreading it with his signature peace sign.
To know Mikey was to love him.
In addition to his parents, he is the loving husband of Shari Thomas Fisher; dear brother of Katie L. MacVeigh of New Lebanon; proud uncle of Caleb Michael Fisher MacVeigh; loving and caring step-father of Hope and Charles “C-Man” Gadomski; best friend and “brother” of Casey York. He is also survived by “the boys, Louie and Moose” and many relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown on Saturday, June 17 from 10 am-1 pm followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow in East Nassau Cemetery.

New Lebanon Town Board – Missing Councilman Baldwin

For the second month in a row, the monthly Board meeting in New Lebanon opened on a sad note, with the remembrance of yet another of those rare-and-getting-rarer citizens that makes a town so much more than just a town. Last month it was Assistant Fire Chief, Mark Sheline. This month it was Councilman Bruce Baldwin who passed away while on vacation in Australia on March 9.

Bruce Baldwin
New Lebanon – Bruce Travis Baldwin, of New Lebanon, NY, died unexpectedly on March 9, 2015 while vacationing with his wife in Australia. He was 73. Bruce was born in Minneapolis on December 2, 1941, and graduated from Mound High School (MN) in 1959. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a medic in Korea.
Peter Tomlinson
Averill Park – Peter L. Tomlinson, 51, of Rte. 43 died suddenly on Thursday February 26, 2015 at Albany Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained from a fall at his home.
Born in Albany, Peter was the son of the late Charles H. and Jane Wharton Tomlinson and the husband of Cassandra Mohos Tomlinson. Peter was raised in New Lebanon and was a graduate of the New Lebanon High School. He had resided in Averill Park since 1987 and had worked for T.G.I. Fridays for over 30 years. He had been the Kitchen Manager at the Stuyvesant Plaza location. Peter was a former member of the Albany Area Chess Club, was an avid reader and was a Red Sox fan.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons Tristan (Jennifer) Tomlinson of Hamilton, NY, Colin (Katherine) Tomlinson and Evan Tomlinson both of Averill Park, his sister Virginia Tomlinson of Oneonta, NY, his brothers Liam Tomlinson of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Daniel Tomlinson of New Lebanon, his grandson Rowan Tomlinson, his step-mother Jeanne Tomlinson of New Lebanon and his father and mother-in-law Frank and Patricia Mohos of Stephentown.
Relatives and friends called at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel at Glass Lake on Wednesday, March 4 in the afternoon, followed by a Service at 7 pm.
The family suggests donations in memory of Peter L. Tomlinson may be made to the Sand Lake Ambulance, PO Box 222, West Sand Lake NY 12196 or the Averill Park Sand Lake Fire Dept., PO Box 116, Averill Park, NY 12018.

New Lebanon – Terry Bingham, 68, died peacefully Tuesday morning, September 9, 2014, at his home with his family at his side. Born in Albany, NY, on March 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Fannie Coons Bingham. Terry was a 1964 graduate of New Lebanon High School and celebrated his 50th Class Reunion on July 12. He married his beloved wife, Judith A. Brown Bingham, on January 16, 1965, in New Lebanon, NY.
Lois Wolcott Germain
New Lebanon – Lois Wolcott Germain, 85, of Nolan Road, Ballston Lake, NY, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She was born on September 15, 1928, in Florida and was the daughter of the late Gerald and Vera Wolcott. Mrs. Germain was a graduate of New Lebanon High School and later attended nursing school. She had lived in Ballston Lake since 1949 and worked as a librarian’s aide at the Stevens Elementary School for many years. She was full of joy and had a zest for life. She loved her flower gardens, and she was an avid reader. Every winter she looked forward to spending happy times with her husband, family and extended family in Bonita Springs, FL. Lois deeply loved her family and friends and she will be dearly missed.
Lois was the beloved wife of Malcolm R. Germain, whom she married on June 26, 1949, the loving mother of Bruce R. and wife Cheryl Germain of Ithaca, NY, Barry W. and wife Charlotte “Sharky” Germain of Greenville, SC, David R. Germain of Scotia, NY, and Steven W. and wife Barbara Germain of Greenville, the caring sister of Leroy and wife Lil Wolcott of New Lebanon, NY, and the late Helen and husband William Dennette, and the adoring grandmother of Shanna, Josh, Chelsea, Taylor, Beth and Nate. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 3 pm from the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. Lois’ nephew, Rev. Alan Wolcott, will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 1 to 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment of her cremains will take place next week in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
