He had resided on William Cipperly Road in Breese Hollow, Hoosick, NY. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Gelinas) Cipperly, who died on March 1, 1982. William and Pauline were married in Toms River, NJ, in 1943.

Hoosick – Edward E. LeBarron, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, NY. He had resided in Clifton Park, NY, with his wife Uma (Gomes) LeBarron.
Edward was born on August 14, 1938, at the family residence in Potter Hill, Hoosick, NY. He was the son of the late Leverette and Margaret (Prentess) LeBarron. Edward attended schools in the Town of Hoosick until entering the United States Air Force in 1955. He served until 1959. Edward has been retired for several years.

Controversial Appointment To The Berlin Town Board

At its regular meeting on January 13 the Berlin Town Board appointed Becky Giumarra to fill the seat vacated by Carl Greene on December 31. Her term will run until December 31 of this year. Giumarra was nominated by Board Member Sheila Hewitt, who along with Board Members James Saunders and Richard von Schilgen voted for her appointment. Town Supervisor Robert Jaeger voted against her appointment.

Stephentown To Review Land Use Regs

Following a moment of silence in respect for Martin Luther King, a public hearing was held prior to the regular Stephentown Town Board meeting on Monday, January 17 regarding proposed Local Law #1 of 2011 on Fee Reimbursement. The intent of the law, as Town Supervisor Larry Eckhardt put it, is to solidify and spell out existing provisions of the Town’s land use and subdivision regulations that require reimbursement to the Town for legal and engineering fees incurred in the process of reviewing and approving plans and designs of developers by the Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
