St. Mary’s Cemetery General Cleanup
A general cleanup will be conducted in the St. Mary’s Cemetery on or about November 1 or as soon as weather permits. The Cemetery is not liable For private property and lot owners are responsible for removing decorations that they wish to save prior to the general cleanup. Income from the Perpetual Care Fund is used for the general maintenance (mowing) of the Cemetery grounds. Such income may not be used for special care of graves, memorials or other private property.
Texas Hold’em
The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, November 6, in the Stephentown Fire Hall, located on Grange Hall Road in Stephentown. The doors will open at 5 pm and close at 6 pm. Play begins at 6:15 sharp.

Holiday Art Fair At SLCA
The Sand Lake Center for the Arts presents its annual Holiday Art Fair on Saturday, November 6, from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, November 7, from 12 to 4 pm. This outstanding and fabulous fine art fair is designed to showcase the craft of over 20 fine artists and to offer the unique opportunity to peruse and purchase original works of pottery, sculpture, paintings, photography, jewelry, felt and cloth accessories, glass blown items, and much more. There is plenty of free parking and no admission fee.

Hubbard Hall Opera Theater Presents “Semi-Staged” La Boheme
The Hubbard Hall Opera Theater presents a winter concert featuring the greatest hits from Puccini’s La Bohème. This performance will be semi-staged and in Italian, accompanied by Michael Clement and featuring past HHOT artists from The Tragedie of Carmen and Hansel and Gretel. The concert will take place Saturday, November 27, at 2 pm on the Hubbard Hall mainstage.

Photography Exhibit At The Hoosick Falls Health Center
Corrina Aldrich grew up on a dairy farm in Woodsville, NH. Her love of cows and farming life are the primary inspiration for her work. A self taught photographer, she picked up a camera about twelve years ago and has taken photography and art classes to help define her style and develop her eye artistically. Her favorite subject matter is the Washington County landscape and the barns, farms and old equipment that populate its various corners.

Election Day Spaghetti Supper And Mini-Hot Dogs
There will be an election day spaghetti supper on November 2 at the Petersburgh Memorial Hall. Servings begin at 4:30 and end at 7 pm. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and under.
Mini Hotdogs with Charlie sauce will also be on sale from 10 am to 4:30 pm with take-outs available. For more information, call 658-3788 or 283-5397. This event is sponsored by the Petersburgh Methodist Church.

Hoosick Falls – Laura Mae (Benware) Roberto, 84, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena, NY. She married Joseph P. Roberto on July 18, 1953, and remained married until his death on April 16, 2000.

George P Cuts His Hand
Tuesday: John F. is unwell and did not hoe. Today a severe hot weather and we hear of some being sun stroked. Today John F. carried his 50 young sheep at one dollar and 63 cts per head and had 10 dollars in advance to Mr. from Nassau.
Friday: I and Thomas hoed on the hill and finished hoeing potatoes, John F. did not hoe, he was unwell.
