Corrina Aldrich grew up on a dairy farm in Woodsville, NH. Her love of cows and farming life are the primary inspiration for her work. A self taught photographer, she picked up a camera about twelve years ago and has taken photography and art classes to help define her style and develop her eye artistically. Her favorite subject matter is the Washington County landscape and the barns, farms and old equipment that populate its various corners.
“My eye is drawn to lines, textures and patterns. It is the rhythm of these items working together in concert throughout our local landscape that has the ability to stop me in my tracks and peer through my lens
for a closer, more contemplative look; to simmer it down to the most basic lines in the viewing plane that attracted my eye in the first place. Mine is a farmer’s heart, and it will forever be attracted to the irregular geometry and parallel lines of a well groomed field and the skilled fraternity who take pride in seasonal rituals of tilling, planting, and harvesting. It is, after all, the landscape of my soul.” Corrina said.
Aldrich’s work has been published in the I Love NY advertising posters for Washington County, and for the past three years she has done the cover photos for the Southern Washington County phone book.
