This Is My Story: Storytelling For Adults
The stories which were told, heard and written at the storytelling workshop which was held at Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center in Grafton and was sponsored by the Grafton Community Library and Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, have been collected in a binder. Authors include Lloyd Barnhart, Helen Ellett, Anne Kiely, Jan MacDonald and Mary Gardner. These stories can be read at the Grafton Community Library located at 2455 NY 2 Grafton, or at the Everett Wagar Senior Center located at 2 Roxborough Road, Grafton.

Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Pig Roast
On Saturday, August 21, the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Inc. will hold its 22nd Annual Pig Roast on the firehouse grounds located just off Route 66 in the hamlet of Brainard. Doors will be open at 1 pm, and the afternoon will be filled with fun events including door prizes and games as well as food and drinks. At about 5 pm the Pig Roast will be served. Tickets may be reserved by calling 518-766-3815 or purchased at Kreutziger’s Country Store and Deli on Route 20 at a cost of $20 for adults and $10 for children 5 – 12.

The Men’s Wednesday Night International Bowling League at Hoosick Falls Barbecue Recreation needs three more five-man teams. It is a handicap league. Practice begins at 6:30 pm with one shift.

Zachary Goyer Graduates
On Sunday, May 23, 2010, Zachary A. Goyer graduated from Manhattan College. He received a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. Zachary attended Manhattan on a baseball scholarship and despite spending 30 to 35 hours per week devoted to baseball, he was able to attain a place on the Dean’s List. Uriah Burhans Honored At Lyndon State College Athletic Awards Ceremony
Uriah Burhans of Grafton was honored at the 2009-2010 athletics award ceremony at Lyndon State College on May 7, when he was named a Scholar Athlete. Scholar Athletes must have sophomore standing and a grade point average of at least 3.3
Burhans, a soccer player, is the son of Derek and Jennifer Burhans also of Grafton and a 2008 graduate of Berlin Central High School. He is majoring in Meteorology at Lyndon.

Kevin Robichaud Graduates From MCLA
Kevin Alan Robichaud graduated on May 22, 2010, from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Having earlier graduated from Hudson Valley Community College, Kevin continued his education at MCLA to complete his B.A. in Mathematics. He remained on the Dean’s List each semester
Kevin will be pursuing his Master’s degree through the College of St. Rose in Albany. Meanwhile he has accepted a position as a Calculus teacher at Hoosac School in the Town of Hoosick.
Kevin is the son of Alan and Loraine Robichaud of Hoosick Falls.
