In Support Of The HFCS Capital Project

It is important to remember that on Tuesday October 17th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can cast your vote to support your public school’s capital project.
The Hoosick Falls Central School has been blessed with public support throughout its history. This is an opportunity to restore the building, addressing all of its current needs at bare minimum expense to us, the taxpayers of Hoosick.
Support your community, the students and the staff. Show your pride in a district that is achieving high standards, and in our beautiful 57 year old facility.
All details and ongoing Community presentations can be found on the school website:www.hoosickfallscsd.org. Or call the district office at 518-686-7012.
Sincerely,
David Sutton
Hoosick Town Council

    To the Editor:

As election draws near I would like to take a moment to make a few comments in support of Tistrya Houghtling who is running for the NY State Assembly in District 107. Tistrya is a brilliant young woman who has business as well as local government experience. She is an independent thinker who speaks her mind and does so eloquently. She is an active participant on town affairs and has demonstrated great compassion in developing a free clothing distribution center in New Lebanon.

Perhaps her greatest strength is her grasp of important issues as demonstrated in her recent debate where she was able to give sensible responses on numerous issues. Areas in which she has shown particular understanding include job creation; women’s issues, including pay equity; health care, of course, with an emphasis on preexisting conditions; environmental protection and resisting corruption..

Pick up some of here literature, go to her web site or look her up on Face Book and check out her superb presentations. Her campaign has been active and up beat, stressing her positives rather than any negatives.

Tistrya Houghtling will be a strong voice for all of us in the Assembly. Please support her on November 6th
