On October 14, State Police in Schodack responded to a residence in Stephentown for a motor vehicle accident involving a dog. [private]The investigation revealed that the driver allegedly struck and killed the dog with a motor vehicle and then proceeded to leave the scene of the accident. The driver, Joel F. Rose, age 47, of Nassau was later arrested for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, also known as “Buster’s Law” and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree. Rose was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Stephentown Town Court on October 20.[/private]
