The talk will highlight the work of Soul Fire Farm and other activist-farms that are working to dismantle racism and oppression in the food system. Hannah Slipakoff began learning how to grow vegetables as a teenager in Philadelphia, PA where the food justice and urban agriculture movement catalyzed her political and social consciousness. Hannah works in awe of the innate human power to create, nurture, and sustain life. Light refreshments will be served. Come and bring your friends!
