The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department cooked over 400 pounds of corned beef to serve the 282 people at their annual Corned Beef Dinner this past Saturday. [private]With generous donations and help from Hilltown Pork, Kilventon Fruit & Produce, the Eastwick Press, Jiminy Peak, and members of the community the dinner was a great success. The young volunteers from TRACS, Cub Scout Pack#911, and Boy Scout Troop#222 really made a big difference. The department would like to thank these businesses, groups, and the community for the great support.
Upcoming events at the fire hall include Texas Hold ‘em on March 19 & April 9, and the Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday April 16. Anyone interested in donating homemade pies for the roast beef dinner is encouraged to contact any department member, or call and leave a message at the fire station 733-5151.[/private]
