The westbound Vermont-registered car drifted off the north side roadway where it traveled for 100 feet before slamming a telephone pole, cracking it, and throwing the rear of the vehicle back into the road. The 53 year old female driver was transported by the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, primarily for a shoulder injury. There didn’t appear to be any skid or brake marks. The car, a tan Chevy Cavalier, received extensive damage and was removed from the scene by the Barber and Fricke rollback. The State Police and North Hoosick Fire Department also responded to the scene.[/private]
