On Friday, July 25, at 7 pm the Music and Art Cafe will present Black River Band at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center.
Black River Band’s founding musician, Billy Gilbert, describes himself as a blues guitarist but the band’s repertoire includes rock, blues, country, jazz and some originals. The Black River Band is made up of Edward Cahill on drums, the Rev. Brandon Swim on guitar and occasional guest performers.
The band has appeared at the Music and Art Cafe and has received an enthusiastic response. People are encouraged to come prepared to dance to their infectious rhythms.
The Music and Art Cafe is pleased to announce that chef Justin Rice will provide his organic fruit bars, homemade fruit pies and fantastic homemade pretzels. Justin was the former bakery chef at Wild Oats Food Market in Williamstown. Take home a loaf of his delicious multi-grain bread.
Admission costs $5 for adults and is free for those under 18 courtesy of the Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match Grant.
