Congratulations to Ashley Costantino and her dedicated crew for providing a fantastic evening for a great cause.
This is the second year Costantino has organized a dinner and fashion show to benefit the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund. This year folks pitched in to provide a delicious buffet dinner.
This year models were men and women. There was lighting for those parading across the stage of Immaculate Conception Church Hall, and there was terrific music provided by the Brewster Brothers.
Guests clambered to drop tickets in the bags for the many donated baskets or to purchase chances for the 50/50 raffle. The tables were attractively decorated, and everyone appeared to have a great time.
Everyone was a little more relaxed this year, especially the models. They actually looked like they were having a good time.
What is most rewarding about this event is it is organized by young people; the next generation of volunteers, if you will. Of course they have help from people of all ages, especially their families. But the responsibility for the project falls on their shoulders, and they are certainly up to the task.
The results of Ashley and her friends’ efforts was $2,200 raised for the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund.
