The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall offers something a little different for its spring 2013 production, Shirley Valentine, written by Willy Russell. Shirley Valentine is a one character, transformative comedy, taking the form of a monologue by a middle-aged, working class Liverpool housewife; it focuses on her life before and after a transforming holiday abroad. Shirley Valentine will be performed by Christine Decker. The production is directed by Theater Company Artistic Director John Hadden. Shirley Valentine has earned numerous awards, including the Tony Award for Best Play and Best Actress.
Opening Night is Friday, April 26; performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm through May 12. Tickets cost $25.
