It was plain to see that the cast of Grease, presented by the Berlin High School Drama Club last Friday and Saturday, were really enjoying themselves and having a fun time with the musical.
The cast was led by Lydia Shorter playing good girl Sandy and Phil Bruns as greaser Danny. The stage crew included Erik Viner, Llew Palmer, Cole Riddering, Ashlin and Raquel Hillis, Krystal Goering and Austin Forbes. Dianne Mosher directed, with Karen Webster Music Director, SC Riddering choreography, Tammy Osterhout costumes and Dan Byron and Charlie Hakes on sound and lights.
“We had record crowds both nights,” said Mosher. “I think the popularity of the show itself was part of the equation, and the kids really talking it up was another part. We had kids in the play from every grade (9-12), from every club and from many athletic teams. And the majority of our cast had at least one other commitment.”
“If you missed the show, we are hoping to have some of the numbers performed at the May 13 Talent Show,” Mosher said.
