Hoosick Grange had its Christmas Party on December 8 with the Mennonite Family Singers. Marion Hynick was in charge of the program, and she introduced them. They sang the traditional Christmas songs and some unusual ones that we didn’t know. We were encouraged to sing along with them. The children sang some songs all by themselves.
The Lecturer had a tableau of Mary and Joseph and the Christ child with everyone humming, then singing “Silent Night.” The Lecturer thanked everyone who helped with the program and had a closing thought – May the light of Christmas shine in your hearts all year. Everyone sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Ice cream, cookies and punch were served.
The Grange’s next meeting will be on January 12, 2011. It’s Anniversary Night. The Lecturer is in charge of the program. David Cornell is in charge of refreshments.
If it’s a bad night on January 12, we will change the meeting to January 26.
Happy New Year!
