Stephentown Memorial Library (SML) announces an “Introduction to Grant Research Online” workshop scheduled for Monday, August 2, at 4 pm and a “How to Write a Grant” workshop scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, at 6 pm.
The “Introduction” workshop will provide a step by step guide to using the Foundation Center Online’s database of almost 100,000 grant-giving foundations and corporations. SML is one of only 400 libraries in the country that provide free access to this “gold standard” grant seeking resource. Workshop participants will learn how to query the database, interpret and analyze the information and build a prioritized list of grant opportunities that will provide the greatest likelihood of success.
The “Grant Writing” workshop will provide guidance on development of a statement of need, addressing the funder’s priorities, creating program descriptions, budgets and evaluation plans.
The workshops are ideal for representatives of organizations that would like to learn how to find or write grants as well as individuals who want to enhance their resumé by adding these valuable skills.
Please register by calling SML at 733-5750.
