The Hoosick Falls Central School District Board of Education will hold a public forum on Wednesday, January 6, from 6 to 7 pm in the Hoosick Falls Central School Elementary Library to review the Senior Citizen Disability and Income Exemption. Interested School District residents are encouraged to attend. The School District is seeking public input on whether to increase the base income level exemption for qualified senior citizens and the disabled to the maximum Rensselaer County level. This exemption provides some school tax relief to those who are over 65 with limited income and those who are disabled.
