Author I. Alex Olchowski will read from his new book The Farmer at the New Lebanon Library Thursday, December 3, at 7 pm. The reading will be followed by a Q&A and book signing. Light refreshments will be served.
The Farmer begins where it ends, on a small family farm in upstate New York. The story revolves around two brothers who grow up to be opposites. Marvin is a lawyer. Jack lives at home and works the farm with his father. After Marvin returns to open a practice in town, Jack is forced to leave the only world he has ever known. He is gone for five years, hopping freight trains and bonding with wolves. When he finally makes it back home many things have changed.
I. Alexander Olchowski is a native of Pittsfield, MA, and currently lives in a farmhouse in upstate New York. The Farmer is his fourth novel.
