The summer potluck dinner meeting of the Stephentown Historical Society will be Monday, July 6, at 6:30 pm at the Heritage Center on Garfield Road (County Route 26) in Stephentown. Those attending should bring a hearty appetite and a dish large enough to share, either main dish, salad or dessert. Plates, utensils and beverages will be provided. The event is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. For directions, telephone 518-733-5675.
After dinner Lorri Parisi will present a pictorial history of the town to honor the 225th anniversary of Stephentown. The photographs are from the Society’s collection, with many new images recently added. Parisi’s interest in local history began over twenty years ago with the purchase of a historic home in Stephentown and some research about its history. She has a custom framing business and a graphic design company, Parisi de Signs.
