The Book Discussion Group of Stephentown Memorial Library will read Without a Map: a Memoir by Meredith Hall for their meeting on Thursday, July 2. In 1965, when 16-year old Hall became pregnant, she was expelled from school. Her neighbors in her small New Hampshire town shunned her, and her mother sent her away. She gave up her son for adoption. Powerful and unflinchingly honest, this memoir recounts the life journeys through which she came to terms with those early losses, as well as her reunion with her son years later.
The meetings are held in the Community Room at the Stephentown Memorial Library, Main Street, Stephentown, from noon to 1 pm. Bring a lunch. Copies of the book are available at the library desk. New readers are always welcome. For more information, call 518-733-5750.
