Joe Wolfrum of the Hoosick Falls bowling team that won the Section II C-D Sectional title has qualified for the Section II team that will compete in Rochester on Sunday, March 8. He qualified with a six-game total of 1,367 which included a 290 game which was the highest of all Section II bowlers in the tournament. Other members of the team are Tom Egan (Mohonasen), Tyler Rocco (Catskill), Steve Black (Lansingburgh), Zach Ladue (Cohoes) and Seth Adams (CBA).
Joe is the second bowler from the Hoosick Falls bowling team to make the States in three years; Robbie Church competed in 2007. He will be competing against the other State teams from each of the sections throughout the State. All six team members bowl six games of which the lowest score for each game from the team will be dropped. The highest total for all six games will win the tournament for their section. Besides bowling for team awards, each bowler will be bowling for individual high game and high triple awards. The tournament is being held at the AMF Gates Lanes in Rochester starting at 9 am.
