Hoosick Kiwanis Club member Jean Andrick works for a food company. She was surprised that some of their largest sales were in Indian foods. This inspired her to take a trip to India by herself to learn more about these interesting dishes and the culture that inspired them.
On Tuesday evening, wearing a native dress custom made for her, she talked about her journey and showed pictures of her adventure to the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. The pictures ranged from gorgeous historic structures, including the Taj Mahal to squalid streets with cows meandering in roadways. She said her guides were gracious and accommodating, the people were friendly and it was the trip of a lifetime.
