Public Archaeology & Volunteering Day At Bennington Battlefield

On Saturday, October 24 a Public Archaeology Day will be held at the Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site in Walloomsac, NY off Route 67. The event is open to the general public and free of charge. Consultants with Commonwealth Cultural Resources Group, Inc. and NYS Parks employees will be on hand to share the history of the battle, provide demonstrations of both metal detecting and ground penetrating radar equipment as well as to discuss the future of the site. Panthers Roll Over Patriots, 40 – 6

The evening began with a nice tribute to longtime Hoosick Falls Panther football supporter and all around good guy, Brian Hall. Brian loved his Panther football. If he nicked himself, he bled Panther blue. Friend and fellow 1980 graduate Nancy Fabiano spoke about her friend and balloons were set free in Brian’s memory. Brian passed away recently from natural causes. He was 54.
