HFCS Spring Concerts And Art Shows
The Hoosick Falls Music Department will be presenting its two Spring Concerts on Tuesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 23, at 7 pm in the High School Auditorium. All concerts are free and open to the public.
The first concert will feature the three choral groups of the school (the Elementary School Chorus led by Ray Connolly and the Junior and Senior Choruses conducted by Ambigay Yudkoff), along with the Elementary School Band and the HFCS Jazz Ensemble, both conducted by Bill Brown.
Also on Tuesday the annual HFCS Art Show in the gymnasium will proudly showcase the tremendous work of our art students.
The second concert will be the result of a collaborative effort of writing, visual arts, and performing arts, working hand in hand to present an epic student-created fantasy story entitled “StormQuest.” It will feature the Junior, Concert and Symphonic Bands led by Robert Allen.
The program will include live dramatic readings by HFCS Drama Club members, and student art works on display for the “StormQuest” story through a real-time slideshow that cooresponds with the music and the dramatic readings.
Both evenings will be a fantastic display of the many talented students in our Visual and Performing Arts departments.
