On Tuesday, February 2, the Hoosick Falls bowling team won their Adirondack League Bowling Tournament at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward. A test of the water at the Hoosick Falls School District’s bus garage has found PFOA in the water at a concentration above the EPA Provisional Health Advisory level. The bus garage is 1.2 miles from the School District’s main campus. The water at the school does not have PFOA in it. It is tested regularly, and it is clean. HFCS Bowling Team Ends Season With 4-0 Win Over Corinth

The Hoosick Falls bowling team finished their regular season league matches with a 4-0 win over Corinth from the Northern Division of the Adirondack League. Hoosick Falls finished the regular season with a point total of 48-0 in the league and a overall match record of 13-1 while Corinth finished with a league point total of 31-25. HF Hands Stillwater First Defeat, 59 – 57, in OT

Alex Mendez scored 24 points, including six in the overtime, to lead the Panthers to a huge win over the previously undefeated Stillwater Warriors Friday evening. The win kept Hoosick Falls in contention for a third straight Wasaren League title, with a little help from a Stillwater opponent. The Panthers are one game behind Stillwater and tied with Mechanicville for second place. Stillwater plays Mechanicville on Feb. 5 at home, the best chance for a Stillwater loss.
