The Sound Of Music Was Outstanding
by Bea Peterson
This past weekend the Hoosick Falls Central School Drama Club put on an outstanding performance of The Sound of Music. All of the music, from the singing to the pit orchestra, was first rate. The school’s many talented singers are a credit to the HFCS music department. Katherine Danforth was the perfect Maria. Every singer and performer was excellent. Congratulations to the cast and crew for a job well done. Many thanks, too, to HFCS for offering the community free admission.

HFCS Wellness Day
Hoosick Falls Central School is having its third annual Wellness Day on Thursday, April 28. Intended to involve students, faculty and staff, the day will include a variety of activities. Representatives from the community, the Rensselaer County Health Department, the New York State Police, the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Center, Blue Shield, Questar, the American Cancer Society among others will be here discussing various aspects of wellness. Students will get physical by using Wii Fit and “Just Dance” and participating in Zumba. An outdoor track will be set up around school grounds for hiking on, what we hope is, a beautiful spring day. This event is something the staff and students look forward to every year. It will take place in the gym from 10 am until 1 pm.
