Starting pitcher Amanda Despart struck out 9 and Alissa Bierwirth had three hits in Berlin’s victory over Doane Stuart this past week. The 13 to 5 win was the second of the season for the young Berlin Squad that boasts but four seniors. Haley Maxon and Despart each doubled and Vicky Smith helped seal the win with a sparkling shoestring catch in the field. Three Candidates Running For Three Seats In Berlin School Board Election

There will be three candidates on the ballot in the Berlin Central School Board election, running for three open seats. Incumbents Rachel Finney and Jeffrey Paine will be running for re-election. Current School Board member Liz Miller declined to run for re-election, and Sherry Bowman-Kluck will be on the ballot running for that seat.
