The Office of Senator Marchione has announced her appointment to the powerful NYS Senate Finance Committee. In this new role the Senator will take part in reviewing and conducting legislative oversight on Governor Andrew Cuomo’s annual budget proposal, due out March first. Grafton Resident Named New Rensselaer County Undersheriff

Rensselaer Land Trust Purchases Additional Land To Expand The Robert P. Ingalls Nature Preserve In Stephentown

Rensselaer Land Trust, with the help from some very generous anonymous donors, purchased an additional 20.52 wooded acres to expand the Robert P. Ingalls Nature Preserve on Horseheaven and Garfield Roads in Stephentown. With these additional acres, the public preserve totals 50.52 acres. Jimino: County Completes Another Successful Coats For Kids Program
Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen M. Jimino has announced the results of this year’s Coats for Kids program that distributed 562 new coats to children throughout the County. The annual program is administered by the Department for Youth and relies upon a summertime golf outing supported by local businesses to raise the funds to purchase the new coats.
