At the Petersburgh Town Board meeting September 17, Supervisor Alan Webster said the water system rehabilitation grant application has been submitted, and letters have gone out from both County legislators, Senator Marchione, Congressman John Faso and others supporting the town’s application.

When It Comes To Water District Surveys, The Spigot Was Not Turned Wide Open

Despite repeated pleas by public officials in both Berlin and Petersburgh for the residents of the Water Districts in those towns to complete and return anonymous income surveys, or lose the possibility of a zero percent interest rate on loans needed to cover a portion of their specific projects, it appears neither town is going to meet the required 84 percent participation rate.

Senator Gillibrand Calls For Medical Monitoring In Hoosick Falls

Speaking at her eighth Town Hall Forum, held on Sunday, August 26 at Hudson Valley Community College, the Senator called for the establishment of a medical monitoring program for residents of Hoosick Falls, Petersburgh and any other local areas impacted by PFOA pollution.
