New Lebanon Town Board Deletes Expletives

January 13, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Thaddeus Flint

The end of year meeting on December 27 fell apart like a family holiday party where the family members had already seen far too much of each other over the holidays. Council Member Bruce Baldwin even started swearing out loud when a discussion on Ethics Board appointments turned to a resident’s blog comments. “We’re not here to read [expletive] blogs,” he said.

Departing Words From The Ex New Lebanon Supervisor

January 6, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Thaddeus Flint
Margaret Robertson, the departing Town Supervisor for New Lebanon, has ended her term with a final few words to her constituency.
“As I leave the office of New Lebanon’s Supervisor, my wish is for all of our residents to find peace and contentment in their lives. Happiness is a bit harder. If we want to be happy, it is up to us to decide to be happy and then just do it no matter how hard it may appear. Every single one of us has an inner fight to win over that is just as critical to us as anyone else’s is to them.

Informational Meeting For New Lebanon Seniors

January 6, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Colleen Teal
On Tuesday, January 17, from 1 to 3 pm a representative from the Columbia County Office for the Aging will be at the New Lebanon Library to answer questions or provide assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, Meals on Wheels, Food Stamps or Heating Assistance.
Our New Lebanon representative to the Columbia County Office for the Aging has been working very hard to get services to come to us. Please spread the news about the meeting, and let’s get a good turn out so we can show the need to continue to bring the services to us rather than having our residents travel to Hudson.  Thank you for your help.
