I would like to thank New Lebanon Fire Chief Bud Godfroy and the LVPA for assisting with the tragic accident that occurred at my home on March 24th. Oh wait…you didn’t. Had you responded, your snide comments to the injured parties about the accident being “interesting” or your comrades’ questioning my family if there was under-age drinking, would have been put to rest.

Community Work Day At Shatford Park

Please come join us on Saturday, April 21, starting at 9 am at Shatford Park for a community work day. The Town is seeking the help of all residents willing to assist with a variety of spring clean-up and other work items.

Food For Fines At The New Lebanon Library
Put your library fines to work for the community. During National Library Week, April 8-14, the New Lebanon Library will exchange food for fines. Fines for overdue materials, regardless of the amount, will be cleared from your record at a rate of one fine for one food item donated. Only overdue materials – not lost or damaged items – are eligible.
Unopened and unexpired cans, jars, boxed and packaged foods are welcome. Perishable items cannot be accepted. All food donations will be forwarded to Charlie’s Pantry for distribution to needy families in and around New Lebanon. So celebrate Thanksgiving by clearing your conscience and benefiting your community at the same time!

Columbia Land Conservancy Offers Children’s Program At New Lebanon Library
The Columbia Land Conservancy will present “Animal Tracks” on Tuesday, April 10, at 2 pm at the New Lebanon Library. The program is oriented to school-aged children.
Tracks and traces can provide a glimpse into the lives of animals whose actions are otherwise hidden. Participants will learn about track patterns, identify the animals that made them and make plaster casts of local animals to take home.

Rare Corpse Flowers At Darrow School
Unseasonably warm temperatures across the Northeast have spurred many flowering plants – from Washington D.C.’s renowned cherry blossoms to the forsythia in Central Park – to blossom early this year. Darrow School’s famous corpse flowers are no exception, and are flowering now.
