Letter To The Editor – Separate Treatment For Campground And Speedway

July 20, 2012 By eastwickpress

Dear Editor;
I have just read the article in your paper pertaining to the New Lebanon Town Board Meeting of 7-10-2012. A couple of points that I feel are important were not addressed in the article, and I would like to address them now. In September, Mountain Road School will open its doors in a new home – 4565 County Route 9, New Lebanon. Known as the Hand House, this historic 1788 structure has been a landmark in West Lebanon for two centuries. Though the house was empty and was showing signs of deterioration, its “bones” are solid and true.  Renovations are underway and even in the early stages, it is clear this is a perfect home for the school.
