Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

On Saturday, August 15, the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Inc. will hold its 27th Annual Pig Roast on the firehouse grounds located a 9 Firehouse Lane,  just off Route 20 in the hamlet of Brainard.  Doors will open at 1 pm and the afternoon will be filled with fun events including door prizes and games as well as hot dogs, sausage/hamburgers and drinks, all while the ‘whole pig’ covered with foil, will be roasting on the spit in view of the attendees.  [Read more…] about Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

Memoir Writing Workshop With Vivian Dorsel

New Lebanon Library Book Sale

The New Lebanon Library will hold its annual used book sale the weekend of August 21-23 at the Valley Plaza mall, Routes 20 and 22 in the center of New Lebanon, in a store front next  to the New Lebanon Post Office. The hours for the sale are: Friday, August 21, from 12 to 5 pm; Saturday, August 22 from 9 am to 4 pm; and Sunday, August 23, from 9 am to 2 pm. All proceeds from the sale benefit the library. New Lebanon High School Reunion – July 11, 2015

New Lebanon High School grads enjoyed their annual Reunion Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield on July 11. Attending were 168 graduates along with about 40 spouses and guests. Upcoming Shaker Stone Barn Tours Offer First Chance For Public To Enter In Forty-Three Years

The Shaker Museum Mount Lebanon is hosting guided walking tours inside the massive remains of the North Family Shakers’ Great Stone Barn on Friday, July 31 and Friday, August 7 at 2 pm each day. The tours, which detail the history and current state of the Barn, will leave from the Wash House Visitor Center and Museum Store. This is the first opportunity for the general public to enter inside the structure since a fire destroyed the roof and much of the timber frame 43 years ago.
