One plank of Grafton Town Supervisor Ingrid Gundrum’s campaign platform last fall was to promote a better understanding for all Town Board members of the annual budget. Her idea is that she and the Board should not simply formulate a spending plan in the fall, but also keep a close eye on spending and budgeting throughout the year so that the Board can anticipate trouble coming and make adjustments, and understand the budgetary implications of the decisions they make throughout the year. Antiques And Art Discovery Day At Tech Valley High School
An antiques and art discovery day will be held to benefit the Tech Valley High School Parent Activities Council (PAC) on Saturday, April 16. The event is open to the public from 9 am to 6 pm. Antique, art and collectible experts from The Appraisers Road Show will hold the event at Tech Valley High School (TVHS), which is located at 246 Tricentennial Drive in Albany on the campus of the Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Easter Bunny Appearance In Grafton

Children from Grafton and surrounding towns filled the VFW Post this past Saturday for an Easter Egg Party hosted by the Grafton Youth Commission. Commission Director Noelle Goyer estimates about 70 youngsters and their parents dropped by to visit with the Easter Bunny, make Easter bonnets, color eggs, pet smaller bunnies, get their faces painted and more. In years past the event has been put on by the Grafton Lakes State Park at the Deerfield Pavilion, but this year it was moved indoors, with GLSP joining with many other area organizations to entertain and educate. NYS Comptroller’s Auditors Returning
For Another Look At Grafton’s Books

In 2013, auditors from the New York State Comptroller’s Office spent several weeks going over the Town’s records, looking in particular at claims processing. The Comptroller said this visit is a follow-up that will consist of reviewing actions taken by Town officials in response to the previous audit’s findings and recommendations.
