Letter To The Editor – Just My Perspective……

April 29, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the editor,
Last year at this time, 3 weeks away from the BCSD budget vote, BOE election and Capital Improvement referendum vote, it was hard to predict what would happen on May 18th!  When polls closed I was still awake and pleased to hear that the voters in the Berlin Central School District had sent a very important message. They elected 2 new BOE members that were offering ideas that could make the BCSD a much more dynamic place to educate children. They re-elected a BOE member who had been advocating for change throughout her entire first term. The voters said “NO” to the budget that opened the door to a building plan that was incomplete and would place a financial burden on the community. Letter To The Editor – Grafton Government In Turmoil – Dirty Political Posturing

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
For the past 9 months or so, I have witnessed and read some of the dirtiest political posturing and deception waged by a handful of political operatives I believe the residents of Grafton have ever been subjected to.
The outright lies and innuendos  this small group have put forth against the hard working members of our Town Board and its Officials is despicable, and I believe will prove to be a fruitless attempt to advance their political agendas.

Letter To The Editor – Grafton Government In Turmoil – The Board Cares

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

Letter to the Editor:
I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed that the SAME handful of people keep down-grading our Town Officials in the Eastwick Press and at our Town Board Meetings?  Could it be that they are “staging” and using these venue’s to further their OWN political agenda’s  or personal vendetas? The Board I see are mostly born and raised  Graftonites who CARE about the town they LIVE in;  it is certainly not for the pay or abuse they get. Letter To The Editor – Grafton Government In Turmoil – Overwhelmed And Misrepresented?

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
Generally, I look forward to reading The Eastwick Press in order to keep abreast of community events, politics, view the photos and read there related stories. Although, I enjoy reading many of these local articles, I was overwhelmed by the attention the Grafton Town Board meeting received in the March 25 edition. What surprised me even more was how misrepresented my statement to Kathleen Bly was written and that it appeared without quotes. For this, I would like to set-the-record straight.

Letter To The Editor – Grafton Government In Turmoil – Refuting An Accusation

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

Dear Editor:
I am hopeful you will consider publishing the following letter in response to a charge that was made about me during the public session of the last Grafton Town Board meeting.
First, to be open and honest, I want to identify myself as the current Democratic Party Chairman in the Town of Grafton. The recent incident I am writing about does not, however, concern that position.

Letter To The Editor – Follow The Vote

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
The manner in which the Berlin Town Board conducts itself and determines that my community is too ignorant to know what we want or what the implications will be down the road is truly a disgrace. Berlin is the laughing stock of neighboring towns and villages.

Letter To The Editor – Wrong Place For Budget Talks

April 1, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
For years I have stood by, idly, and reserved my opinion, in hopes that cooler heads would prevail. Unfortunately this has not occurred, and I must comment, as a responsible parent, on a student assembly held on, March 24, 2011. I am absolutely appalled that my daughter was removed from class and herded into an assembly in regards to the issues relative to this year’s school budget. March 4, 2011 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
Is anyone in the Town of New Lebanon reading the newspapers? Does no one object to the fact that our town government is allowing multiple family members to serve on boards and in official positions simultaneously? This IS Conflict of Interest.
