A Pillar Of Education Retires

On June 30, with severe storm warnings up in Rensselaer County, the sun broke through at 6 pm, and the skies cleared above the Berlin Middle-High School parking lot, shining on the lawn signs with names and years of  service of this year’s twelve remarkable Berlin CSD’s retirees.

Key Bank Is Robbed, Suspect Nabbed

Shortly before noon on Monday, July 6, a suspect, now identified by NYS Police as 26-year old Oscar C. Rodriguez of Troy, is alleged to have entered the Key Bank on Hoosick Road (NYS Route 7) brandishing a weapon, believed to be a shotgun, and demanding money.

To Re-Authorize Its Planning Board

The Petersburgh Town Board and Planning Board held a joint meeting on June 29 to seek agreement on enabling legislation for the Planning Board, because the Planning Board was established in 1967 by a resolution of the Town Board, rather than by a Local Law which would be required for valid enabling legislation.

Hoosick Falls Police arrested 49 - year old Glenn Manning of 2 Beckett Street Hoosick Falls, on Wednesday night, July 1, after officers responded to a disturbance call on Beckett Street. It was reported that a women was screaming for help after she was physically pushed out of her house.
