As of press time, the only school district in our coverage area that was on a fully remote learning schedule was the Cambridge School District. Hoosick Falls, Tamarac, Berlin, New Lebanon, Averill Park and Schodack are all using a hybrid in person learning model.

Notice To Petersburgh Residents
As of January 1, the Berlin Transfer Station will honor the 2020-2021 Transfer Station permits until April 30 of this year when the new permits for 2021-2022 will go on sale from the Town of Berlin.

First a quick history. Roughly seven years ago when I was elected to the Town Board, the Town was only able to cover its basic expenses and even then with tax hikes much higher than the 2% or less we’ve enjoyed for the past several years.

Winter “High Risk” High School Sports Postponed Indefinitely
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) has indefinitely postponed all competition in “high-risk” sports, including basketball, ice hockey and wrestling and canceled all winter high school tournaments.
