Vicki L. Guilbeault – Obituary

April 19, 2024 By Eastwick Press

Stephentown – Vicki L. Guilbeault, 63, passed away on April 5th, 2024 as the result of a heart attack. Vicki was a great wife, mother, and doting grandmother.

She loved her community and when not with family, spent her time volunteering or working at the Stephentown Town Library, where she loved to meet new people and catch up with neighbors. Prior to the library, Vicki worked and retired from the NYS Department of Taxation & Finance.

Born in Troy, NY, Vicki is the daughter of Mildred (Gowie) Haskins (late Walden (Thom) Haskins) of Troy and the late Fred Woelfersheim.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul R. Guilbeault; sons Jason (Alysia) and Nicholas; five grandchildren who were her world, Thomas, Aubrey, Jude, Reagan, and James. She is also survived by her mother, Mildred Haskins; sisters Kim (Eric) Jakobowicz and Darla (Edward) Tinney, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Fred Woelfersheim, brothers Mark and Bruce Woelfersheim, and sister Lori Schroll.

Thank you to the members of the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department, including Chiefs Dave Corlew and Cyril Grant, for their quick and competent response, without which the family would not have had the last two weeks to hope, grieve, process, and finally to say goodbye.

Family and friends were invited and called on Friday, April 12th, 2024, at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown followed by the funeral service with Rev. Trygve Tomlinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., PO Box 208, Stephentown, NY  12168 or the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY  12110.
