Alice Grant Ross

Berlin – Alice Grant Ross, 89 of Plank Road died on Sunday January 3, 2021 at the home of her son where she had been residing. Born in Kingston, NY, Alice was the daughter of the late David Leroy and Myrtle Elliot Grant and wife of the late Robert E. Ross. Alice grew up in Cohoes and had resided in Rensselaer County since 1949. She was a graduate of HVCC and began her professional career at Mohawk Paper and later served as office manager for the Arbor Hill Interracial Council, Siena College Admissions and  Adam Ross Cut Stone (the family business) respectively before retiring. Alice was an avid bird watcher and loved working in her extensive gardens.

Survivors include her children Deborah (Raymond) Ross-LeBrecht of North Greenbush, David C. Ross of Berlin, and Randall Ross of Menands, her sisters Anne Slee of New Hampshire, Eleanor Barkley of Syracuse and Pennie Scales of Hopewell Junction and her grandchildren Evan Ross and Morgan LeBrecht.

Alice’s family wishes to thank Jessica Pettibone and the other caregivers for the care and compassion given to Alice in the past 6 years.

A private service is planned for 12 noon on Saturday January 16, 2021 at the Chapel at Memory Gardens, Colonie.  Space is limited and social distancing and masks are required.
