Rosemary E. O’Dell

Hoosick Falls, NY

Rosemary E. O’Dell, 73, passed away on Thursday August 23 at the Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.She resided with her husband Richard K. “Digger” O’Dell on High Street in Hoosick Falls.

Rosemary was born on February 7, 1945, in Bennington, VT, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Harrington) Flynn. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and received her degree in business from St Joseph’s Business College in Bennington, VT. Rosemary was employed as the Registrar, at the Bennington College for 52 years.. She enjoyed taking rides with “Digger”, going to Fairs, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Survivors other than her husband Richard include her sister Ann Marie Flynn Guile (John), brother Nicholas Flynn (Judy), sister-in-law Pat Flynn all of Hoosick Falls, brothers-in-law William O’Dell of Hoosick Falls and Bob O,Dell of White Creek, NY, also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Edward “Pete” Flynn and his wife Beverly and William Flynn.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday August 28 at the First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the mass at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls on Monday August 27. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
