Hoosick Falls Boys Advance In Class C Sectionals

With a 63 – 36 win over Hadley-Lazurne Tuesday evening February 20, the second game of a sectional play double header with the HF girls, the Panthers move to the next round. Jon Kempf had 24 points, including getting the Panthers off to a good start with 10 first quarter points, while Evan McCart chipped in 17 points.

The #2 seeded Panthers boys basketball team will advance to play #10 seeded Greenville game on Tuesday. Greenville upset #7 Berne-Knox 61-54. The next game will be Saturday, February 24 at Hudson Valley Community College. Start time is scheduled for 12:30 pm. Should the Panthers advance after that game, the next game will be at the Cool Insuring Arena (Civic Center) in Glens Falls on March 1 at 5:30 pm. The championship game will held Saturday, March 3, at the same location beginning at 2 pm. Number one seed Lake George defeated Galway, 71-51.

The Tamarac Boys season came to end Tuesday evening, losing their game against the Glens Falls Indians, by an 84 to 38 margin. Matt Morrow led all the Bengals in scoring with 14 points.

The Berlin Mountaineers finished their season Friday, February 16, when they were defeated by Duanesburg in a sectional play in game 75 to 44. Josh Hendricks led the Mountaineers in scoring with 21 points.
