The demolition and removal of the Oak Mitsui building on lower First Street progresses more each working day. The building is completely down with the exception of one small wall. The view here is from the front entry area at First Street with the new treater room foundation wall to the left.
The “tombstones” at right center are the footings in the drum deck area and the partial wall in the left center background is the wall between between the waste water lamellas / boiler room and the maintenance shop. Thousands of Hoosick Falls and area residents worked in the building over the one hundred plus years of its existence. Photo and caption by Steve Bradley
