David A. Stall

Pittsfield, MA – David A. Stall, 63, formerly of New Lebanon, NY, died peacefully Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany with his family by his side. Born in Pittsfield, MA on October 12, 1953, he is the beloved son of Phineas and Dorothy Kraft Stall of New Lebanon. Raised and educated in New Lebanon, he was a graduate of New Lebanon High School. He was a mechanic all his life and was employed at the Center Street Sunoco in Pittsfield for over 30 years before retiring 5 years ago.

Dave enjoyed drag racing at Lebanon Valley Speedway, classic cars, NASCAR, drawing and art, bowling and baseball.

In addition to his parents, he is the loving brother of Bruce Stall (Adrienne Reddy) of Pittsfield, MA, Marcia (Ihor) Sowycz of Stephentown, NY, Richard (Kim) Stall of Canaan, NY and Philip (Lynn) Stall of Niverville, NY; proud uncle of Christopher, Nicholas, Darcy, Matthew, Jennifer, Jessica, Richard Jr., Marissa, Caitlyn, Joshua, Justin and the late Kyle Sowycz; great uncle of Jackson (Little Dude).

The funeral service was Wednesday, August 30, at 1 pm at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, NY. Interment followed in Garfield Cemetery, Stephentown. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
