Gayle Magisano

July 13, 2017 By eastwickpress

Gayle Brownell Magisano passed away July 5, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. [Private]She was born on February 1, 1946. Gayle will be remembered for her ability to let her friends and family confide, converse, listen, and offer advice to any and all that requested. If she was your friend, she was your friend for life… she will be greatly missed.

Gayle had many interests – her family was first, along with her churches, The West Hoosick Baptist Church and The First Baptist Church of Hoosick. She served many roles and wore a few hats at both churches. She enjoyed decorating her homes, gardening (especially at the farm on Fox Hollow), and she enjoyed ceramics in West Hoosick with many great friends. She enjoyed silk flower arranging, and ran a small side business, “The Unicorns Garden” for a while doing this.

She spent many years bowling with Khaki and her many teammates at the Barbecue Recreation – so many fond memories there!! In Florida she was blessed with a second family from many states, and their many activities and events were a great joy to her. She loved Florida!

She was predeceased by her first son, Wayne (2007) and her mother, Helen Brownell (2016). She leaves behind her father, Wesley Brownell and her husband, Joe of 53 years and her loving son, Michael, her always inspiring brother (from day one!) Carl Brownell and her youngest brother, Stan Brownell. She leaves her grandson, Joshua (Josh) who was always special to her. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew as well as many beloved cousins (too many to name), as well as some special non-blood relatives which she loved and cared for very much!! She also leaves her beloved Grand-Pup, Finnieus j. who brought her so much joy and comfort.

The family has decided that there will be NO calling hours, funeral or memorial service.

Anyone wishing to make a Memorial contribution in Gayle’s name and memory may do so to the Wayne Magisano Memorial Scholarship Fund, through Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090. Phone 518-686-5123. [/Private]
