The New Lebanon Farmers Market is a community gathering place, for people to access locally grown and produced food, goods, art, and entertainment.[private] It is a vendor run market, open Sundays, 10 am to 2 pm, during the growing season, June 4 to October 29. There are 8 vendors that attend every week. These include:

• Cynthia Creech, Artemis Farm (grass fed beef) – New Lebanon

• Phoebe Young, New Lebanon Baloney (charcuterie) – New Lebanon

• Deb Gordon, Terra Firma (preserves, flowers) – New Lebanon

• John Senger, Windswept Farm (fruits, vegetables, flowers) – New Lebanon

• Betsy Kelly, Hawks Roost Farm (baked goods, pork, chicken, eggs, preserves, fruits, vegetables) – East Chatham

• Jonah Millett and Chelsea Vigue, Uprising Farm (vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, flowers, rabbit) – New Lebanon

There are an additional 5-10 vendors that occasionally participate.

The New Lebanon Farmers Market is a grassroots effort, working to solve the town’s “food desert” issue. This will be its 8th season promoting and incubating small farms and businesses. The market provides free live entertainment and educational opportunities to the public. It is a marketplace for local artisans and farmers striving to build a stronger, local economy and healthier community.

The market has helped the success of other local businesses who have participated over the years, such as The Abode Farm, New Leaf Farm, Raven and Boar, Trusted Roots Farm, Climbing Tree Farm, Cedar Ridge Farm, Cricket Creek Farm, Rolling Rock Farm, the Beer Diviner, Mountain Girl Farm, Liquid Assets, and more.

This year, the New Lebanon Farmers Market aims to increase accessibility, collaboration, and customer base. The market is moving to a new location with more traffic and activity, 516 State Route 20/Columbia Pike (directly across from Blueberry Hill, in the parking lot, between Gallup Inn and Angel’s Trumpet). It now accepts SNAP EBT, WIC, Senior Coupons, FMNP, Fresh Connect, and Credit Cards.

The market is planning to work together with groups such as churches, schools, Grow the Valley, and Behold to raise awareness and participation.
