The Memorial Day parade in Hoosick Falls kicked off on Monday May 29 in cool, damp conditions that became a steady rain during the parade.[private] It didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the participants or the people who braved the weather to view the event.
Fire departments, tributes to fallen servicemen, floats of children tossing candy and bands made the line-up of the almost thirty minute parade. 
After the parade, salutes were given in Wood Park and Monument Park. [/private]
